Veritone Launches Revolutionary Government Cognitive Media Platform for Public Safety, Built on Microsoft Azure Government

Veritone, Inc., a leading cloud-based Artificial Intelligence ("AI") technology company, pioneering the world's first Cognitive Media Platform™ (CMP), announced today that it will deploy Veritone's CMP and its AI cognitive engine ecosystem within Microsoft (News - Alert) Azure Government. Veritone's CMP now offers law enforcement and other government agencies the ability to store and analyze audio and video from virtually any source, via deployment of an AI cognitive engine array that extracts actionable intelligence at unprecedented levels of accuracy and speed - all from a highly secure, cloud-based platform.

Unlike other solutions that depend on just a single AI-based engine for each cognitive category (i.e. speech, face, etc.), Veritone employs a powerful and expanding ecosystem of the world's best of breed AI cognitive engines with multiple engines within each specific class. This maximizes both customer choice and adoption of the latest advances in AI technology to better analyze audio and video content. The Veritone CMP architecture is uniquely designed to "future-proof" customers' technology choice when it comes to the use of advanced AI to analyze audio and video content. Through Veritone's deployment of its CMP on Azure Government, Veritone will now be able to better serve law enforcement agencies who are subject to Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) requirements established by the U.S. Department of Justice.

"At Veritone, our mission is to put the revolutionary power of Artificial Intelligence to wok for law enforcement agencies. A camera on every officer and police vehicle is of very limited value without a way to quickly and cost-effectively search and analyze the thousands of hours of video content captured every month by a typical agency," said Dan Merkle, president, Veritone Public Safety.

Veritone, using Microsoft's government cloud computing technology, seeks to transform the government's ability to be responsive, accountable and agile, while providing the security, privacy and compliance that government requires.

"The Microsoft Cloud for Government is designed to support U.S. public safety and justice agencies that require speed, scale, security features, and compliance with regulatory standards," said Michael Donlan, vice president, U.S. Public Sector, Microsoft. "By building on Microsoft's trusted and intelligent cloud platform, Veritone can enhance its customer services and help agencies improve operations and better protect citizens."

The executive teams of Veritone Public Safety and Microsoft will be in attendance at the IACP Annual Conference and Exposition taking place October 15-18 in San Diego, California. IACP is the largest gathering of law enforcement leaders in the world that showcases providers of tactical equipment and technology solutions available for law enforcement. The executive teams will be available at their booths for questions and more information regarding this partnership and the new government cloud-based cognitive solution.
