Skedi 2 App Keeps Parents' Work, Family and Social Calendars In-Sync

SEATTLE, Oct 10, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Rodax Software is proud to announce the release of Skedi 2 in the App Store. Skedi 2 is a significant update of the only calendar app that keeps the entire family's work, social, family, and school schedules in-sync. The user interface has been completely redesigned with particular focus on viewing and searching a family member's daily agenda, calendar events, and availability across all their electronic calendars. In addition, the underlying code, that drives Skedi, has also been revamped, optimized for speed, and enabled for future integrations with other collaboration platforms.

Beginning today, the basic version of Skedi 2 is available for free in the App Store with many new features such as recurring events and transactional email invitations, so users can accept or decline invitations and assignments from anywhere. The premium version includes features such as iOS Calendar app syncing and saving, real-time push invitations and assignments, and no advertising. Skedi 2 Premium is available with a yearly in-app purchase of $24.99 per family or 7¢ per day for the entir family. Incidentally, active Skedi users (prior to the release of Skedi 2) will automatically have access to the premium features until July 1, 2017.

"We've been testing Skedi 2 for over a year and we're extremely happy with the quality and the feedback that we've received from our customers who participated in our beta program. Moreover, because we re-architected our codebase, we've never been in a better position to easily integrate with other collaboration tools. In fact, our next major release will include integration with Evernote and we have plans for more in 2017. We believe that integrating with other productivity and collaboration apps is critical because an event or task assignment is so much more than a date on a calendar," said John Boyer, Founder and President, Rodax Software, Inc.

Here's how it works. One person in the family downloads Skedi 2 and signs up as the subscriber (or family admin) at http://skd.bz/reg. The admin then invites family members to their network during signup or in-app by tapping Settings > Family Members. Tip: Inviting family members in-app is easier because it's integrated with the iOS Contacts app. After inviting family members, the admin can begin creating family events and assignments. Note: An assignment is a way to delegate an event to another family member. For example, Mom might want to delegate soccer practice to Dad because she has a meeting in the afternoon. With the yearly subscription, each family member's events, from all their iOS calendars, will be synced with Skedi. However, non-Skedi events appear as private to other family members, because only Skedi events can be seen by the entire family.
