Catchpoint Strengthens Unified Digital Experience Monitoring Platform With Fully Customized Visualization

Catchpoint today announced the latest evolution of its digital experience monitoring platform, supporting fully customizable visualization and dashboards to present unified synthetic and real user data, in real time, to make it easy to communicate and take action on digital experience intelligence. IT leaders can now combine insight from active and passive monitoring programs on a single platform, and visualize analytics through any charting library or proprietary product to facilitate faster business decisions and reduce mean time to resolution (MTTR). This capability is becoming critical as businesses focus on the role of analytics in the user experience, requiring innovative ways to make information clear and actionable.

"Because of the increasing complexity of the application and infrastructure environment, we have observed rising client interest in analytics to improve root cause analysis and other capabilities," said Cameron Haight, research vice president at Gartner (News - Alert). (Survey Analysis: End User Experience Monitoring is the Critical Dimension for Enterprise APM Customers, June 2015.)

More than 40 global brands actively use these capabilities within Catchpoint's unified digital experience intelligence platform, including Norwegian Cruise Line, whose chief technology officer, Arnold Bramnick, described one of his organization's biggest data challenges:

"Because IT infrastructure complexity continues to increase, thereby increasing the number of data sources and components to be monitored, we need solutions that speed up analysis and make data quickly actionable. We use the Catchpoint platform to generate a complete view of the end-user experience which we can customize for different stakeholders across the company," said Bramnick. "Being able to instantly visualize data in ways that make it easy to understand is critical to reaching quick, confident decisions that enable us to deliver a consistently great user experience."

In addition to supporting customizable visualizations, Catchpoin's unified digital experience monitoring platform incorporates new features to make it easier to organize and analyze data, including:

  • Custom data views of complete real user data sets - not sample-based analyses - delivering highly flexible visualizations of analytics specific to business needs, e.g., the performance of critical pages in major cities at regular intervals over the past year.
  • Automatically generated comparisons of proprietary website content performance vs. third-party-provided content, making it easy to identify whether issues are related to external service providers.
  • SLA reports, defined by any timing or availability metric, delivered by email to key stakeholders to track SLA compliance of critical systems.
  • New visualizations added to performance charts and available as dashboard widgets: bubble charts, RAG (red, amber, green) grid views, and word clouds to support simpler, clearer presentations of performance insights.
  • Custom alert templates, supporting the inclusion of runbooks, playbooks, resolutions guidelines, contact instructions etc. with emailed alerts.

"The pressure on IT organizations to deliver amazing user experiences has never been greater. We founded Catchpoint because we knew first-hand how critical it was to capture and visualize performance data from both active monitoring and real users to fully understand the digital experience," said Dritan Suljoti, chief product officer and co-founder of Catchpoint. "Building a holistic platform represents the next major step in digital experience management, combining data sources to support advanced analytics and visualizations that help stakeholders across the enterprise to understand the business impact of IT ops decisions."

As a platinum sponsor of O'Reilly's Velocity 2016 conference in New York (September 19-22, 2016) Catchpoint will provide live demos of the platform's new capabilities by request. CEO Mehdi Daoudi will also deliver a keynote presentation and lead the session, "Drowning in Data, Thirsting for Insight," on September 21.

Catchpoint also announced today its first annual user conference focused on digital experience monitoring, Elevate, which will be held Monday, April 10, through Thursday, April 13, 2017 in Las Vegas. For more details visit http://www.catchpoint.com/elevate.
