Health IT Experts to Meet and Discuss Industry's Latest Research, AdvancesCOLLEGE PARK, Md., Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Experts representing the likes of IBM Watson Health and the Food and Drug Administration will join researchers from such institutions as Harvard Medical School and Johns Hopkins University for the seventh annual Workshop on Health IT and Economics (WHITE) on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21-22, 2016, at The Westin Georgetown in Washington, D.C. The participants will present and discuss the latest findings and practices connected to information technology making healthcare more patient-centered, effective and cost-efficient. The Center for Health Information and Decision Systems (CHIDS) at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business hosts the conference (8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday including an evening reception and 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday), which is open to the public. This year's forum will signal health IT research is reaching a turning point, say WHITE organizers.
