Two for One: CTA Partners with Tech.Co for Innovate! and Celebrate


The Consumer Technology Association (CTA)™ today announced initial programming for Innovate! and Celebrate, a combined conference where the biggest names in tech meet cutting-edge startups. Produced jointly by CTA and Tech.Co, the event's integrated programming brings together attendee favorites from both organizers. Highlights from CTA's Innovate!, including keynotes, research forecasts and trend predictions combine with Tech.Co's Celebrate Startup of the Year competition/party, mentor sessions, off-site excursions and more to cater to an audience of industry influencers. Innovate! and Celebrate will be held September 20-22 at the Fairmont in San Jose, CA (News - Alert).

Wednesday, September 21

  • TIME - Fireside Chat with Naveen Jain- The founder of Moon Express and BlueDot will reflect on his journey as an entrepreneur and his company's future as the first private compny to land on the moon.
  • 10:15-11:15 AM - Five Tech Trends to Watch - Lindsey Turrentine, editor-in-chief, CNET.com, will moderate a discussion of this year's top trends across the five categories that are poised to impact the technology industry. Panelists include Justin Fishkin, chief strategy officer, Local Motors.
  • 2-2:45 PM - CTA Holiday Sales Forecast - CTA's analysts Shaen DuBravac and Steve Koenig predict what consumers will have on their gift lists this holiday season.
  • 6-8 PM - Startup of the Year Party - Meet the top 50 startups from around the world competing for a chance to be named Tech.Co's Startup of the Year! Enjoy libations, appetizers, networking and more at the premier GlassHouse in downtown San Jose.



Thursday, September 22

  • 8-9:30 AM - CTA Media Training Workshop - an annual CTA Innovate! favorite, this session will welcome Tyler Suiters, vice president, communications, CTA, Annie Scranton, founder and CEO, Pace Public Relations and Michael Sorrentino, founder and principal, Sorrentino Media to the stage to share best practices for reaching the media.
  • Final Judges Q&A session - Ask anything of top industry leaders and investors like Jeff Clavier, founder SoftTech VC, at this special Q&A session prior to Startup of the Year winner announcement.

Other event highlights include:


  • Mentor sessions -Tech leaders, experts and influencers in their respective areas of expertise will offer a limited number of private 30-minute 1:1 and group sessions to attendees looking to take a deep dive into challenges facing their startup or business.
  • Excursions - Tech.Co will continue its tradition of excursions where attendees can sign up to experience Silicon Valley outside of the conference setting and participate in activities designed to build relationships and have fun. Stay tuned for more details.
