SXSW Eco Announces Keynote, Additional Speakers, And Conference Schedule


AUSTIN, Texas, Aug. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SXSW Eco®, the conference celebrating the power of design, technology and business to drive global change has announced its fifth Keynote, synthetic biologist Dr. Sarah Richardson, additional speakers and sessions, and the launch of the SXSW Eco 2016 schedule, which can be viewed at schedule.sxsweco.com. SXSW Eco will take place on October 10-12, 2016 at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX.

Dr. Sarah Richardson, a Distinguished Postdoctoral Fellow in Genomics at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, works on massive scale synthetic biology projects as part of the DOE Joint Genome Institute. As a Keynote speaker at SXSW Eco, she will explore the realities and promise of synthetic biology and gene editing for the future of food, fuels, healthcare and more.
