Former CIO of T-Mobile and Barnes & Noble Joins SOASTA's Board

SOASTA, the leader in performance analytics, today announced the appointment of distinguished digital technology executive Gary King to its board of directors.

King was the executive vice president and chief information officer at T-Mobile (News - Alert) during its historic turnaround, which saw the doubling of the number of subscribers and moved the company to the position of third largest wireless provider in North America. Having served as a CIO three times, King's areas of digital expertise range from dramatically scaling, building and repositioning technology teams and strategy to bringing large and complex technology governance and investment decisions to successful board-level conclusions.

"As a long-time admirer of SOASTA (News - Alert) innovations and with first-hand practitioner experience running large-scale digital performance management using SOASTA, I have always had a performance-first focus for my application environments," said King.

He continued, "As the leader in performance analytics, SOASTA's vision and tehnology are accelerating the pace of innovation. Being able to bring my real-world experiences to the SOASTA team and influence improvements to the product is a dream come true."

"SOASTA is thrilled to have on its board of directors an internationally known industry executive like Gary King," said Tom Lounibos (News - Alert), CEO of SOASTA. "In today's digital economy, brands are facing issues around how performance impacts revenue and user engagement and how to develop high-quality and high-performing web and mobile applications quickly," King added. "SOASTA's Digital Performance Management, CloudTest and Data Science Workbench are helping digital businesses deliver consistently great user experiences that give them a competitive edge."
