New Edition of Supply Chain Navigator Features Q&A with Schneider Electric North America CEO Annette Clayton

The Olympics' loss is supply chain's gain. This is the conclusion readers will come to after reading the exclusive interview with Annette Clayton, CEO and President, Schneider Electric (News - Alert) North America Operations in the July 2016 issue of Supply Chain Navigator, released today by Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor.

In the issue, Clayton, who also remains Chief Supply Chain Officer for Schneider's global business, shares a number of personal and career insights, including her reflection that with her highly competitive nature, she might have "missed her calling" as an Olympic athlete. Fortunately for her colleagues, peers and the profession itself, Clayton channeled all that energy and determination into her various roles throughout her career, and is, today, among the most well-known and respected figures in the global supply chain. Under her leadership, Schneider Electric has been honored by SCM World for its "breakthrough" supply chain talent management strategy; the French Ministry for the Economy, Industrial Renewal and Digital Affairs recognized the company with its "Responsible Supplier Relations" label; and Clayton personally received the "Legendary Leadership" award from AWESOME (Achieving Women's Excellence in Supply Chain Operations, Management, and Education).

"We had the opportunity to talk with Annette about Schneider's supply chain approach just days before her promotion," said Wade McDaniel, vice president of Supply Chain Solutions, Avnet Velocity and publisher of Supply Chain Navigator. "We are extremely appreciative of the time she spent with us and the candor with which she discussed a range of subjects, including talent management, CSR (News - Alert), segmentation, IOT, and our feature topic, supply chain risk."
