Global Cloud Xchange Appoints Thomas Gowen as President of North America

Global Cloud Xchange (GCX), a subsidiary of Reliance Communications (News - Alert) (RCOM), today announced the appointment of Thomas (Tom) Gowen as President of North America. Mr. Gowen will be responsible for leading the company's growth and corporate strategies across the United States including wholesale and enterprise markets.

Mr. Gowen joined GCX in 2015 as VP of Engineering for North America with more than 25 years of experience in network and data center sales, sales engineering, product development and operations. Prior to GCX, Mr. Gowen was Directorof Services Integration for NTT (News - Alert) where he led key strategic projects including next generation research and development for Software-Defined Networking, Elastic Services Infrastructure, new security technologies and new Cloud Orchestration and Data Center technologies.

Mr. Gowen holds technical certifications covering the full range of the IT Service Management spectrum, including networking specializations from Cisco and Juniper, data center and cloud specializations from VMware and EMC and security specializations from Palo Alto (News - Alert), Checkpoint, and Logrhythm. He attended Southern Illinois University.
