BitTitan Donates $15,000 to Doctors Without Borders Charity

KIRKLAND, Wash., July 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloud services enablement and managed services automation pioneer, BitTitan, today announced it is donating $15,000 to Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as a result of its philanthropic efforts at the 2016 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC). A platinum sponsor of the July 10-14 event in Toronto, Canada, BitTitan introduced an interactive and fun charity campaign that lasted for the duration of the conference and culminated in the company donating a total of $15,000 to the Top Brand in International Aid1, Doctors Without Borders.

BitTitan revolutionizes cloud services enablement and managed services automation, empowering IT service providers to sell more cloud services, onboard more cloud workloads, and maximize customer lifetime value.

Throughout the conference, for each visitor who had their WPC badge scanned at the BitTitan booth, the company donated $10 to the Doctors Without Borders charity. The booth attendees were also entered into a raffle for the chance to win thrice daily drawings of up to $1,000. Bolstered by BitTitan's major presence at WPC and a widespread social media campaign promoting the "Visit Us & We Donate" initiative, BitTitan was able to raise a significant amount of money for th charity.

"When planning for WPC, we knew we didn't want to do the standard tchotchke booth giveaways, because at the end of the conference these items ultimately end up in the trash," said Jenn Martin, VP, sales at BitTitan. "This is the first time we've ever done something like this, and the response was overwhelming. Booth attendees regarded our charitable campaign as a fantastic alternative to standard tchotchkes, and by the end of the first day, individuals were seeking out our booth in order to donate."

Recipient of the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize, Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international, independent medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, malnutrition, natural disasters, and exclusion from health care in nearly 70 countries. Doctors, nurses, logistics experts, administrators, epidemiologists, laboratory technicians, mental health professionals, and others all work together in accordance with MSF's guiding principles of humanitarian action and medical ethics to deliver care where the need is greatest. On any given day, thousands of individuals representing dozens of nationalities can be found providing assistance to people caught in crises around the world.

"Donating to such a well-known and respected international aid charity was a natural choice, as BitTitan is a global company, and Microsoft's WPC brings individuals from across the world," continued Martin. "We couldn't have accomplished raising this amount of money without the help and commitment of our partners, colleagues and friends at this year's WPC."
