ISACA's CSX North America Conference Provides Cybersecurity Training

According to ISACA's 2016 Cybersecurity Snapshot, close to half (45%) of those surveyed worldwide report that they are hiring more cybersecurity professionals in 2016, yet fully 94% of those hiring say it will be difficult to find skilled candidates.

Global IT and cybersecurity association ISACA developed Cybersecurity Nexus (CSX) to help organizations build qualified cybersecurity workforces. To provide in-person training and networking opportunities, ISACA is hosting the CSX 2016 North America conference in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, 17-19 October 2016. ISACA debuted the conference last year to a sold-out audience and will hold this event in three regions around the globe this year-North America, Europe and Asia.

CSX North America keynotes are renowned experts in the field and include:

  • Brian Krebs, investigative journalist, founder of Krebs on Security blog
  • Anthony Zuiker, creator and executive producer of the TV show franchise CSI (News - Alert): Crime Scene Investigation and technology visionary

CSX 2016 North America will be focused on practical cybersecurity solutions and guidance, tailored to every level of a security professional's career. It will explore trends and threats, and how to excel at protecting the enterprises.

"Cybersecurity training and skills building are critical investments in keeping an organization safe and enabling it to achieve its business goals," said Eddie Schwartz, CISA, CISM, CISSP-ISSEP, PMP, board director of ISACA and chair of ISACA's Cybersecurity Advisory Council. "CX North America will bring together cybersecurity leaders and practitioners to help attendees exchange ideas, build their knowledge, increase their capabilities and network with others passionate about staying ahead of adversaries in the digital world."

CSX 2016 North America will also feature the CSX Cyber Challenge, an online competition that will test attendees' cybersecurity skills in areas such as ethical hacking, computer network defense and computer forensics. The competition was developed by Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security (CIAS) located at University of Texas, San Antonio.

The conference will also feature a special networking event as part of ISACA's Connecting Women Leaders in Technology program, and a CISO Forum, to which C-level executive professionals can request an invitation and qualify for complimentary conference registration.
