AXIS Insurance Appoints Mark Paccione as Executive Vice President of Commercial Management LiabilityAXIS Capital Holdings Limited ("AXIS Capital") (NYSE:AXS) today announced that Mark Paccione has been appointed as Executive Vice President of Commercial Management Solutions (CMS) at AXIS Insurance. The CMS team specializes in commercial public and private D&O, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Crime products. Mr. Paccione reports directly to John Van Decker, President, North American Professional Lines for AXIS Insurance. Mr. Paccione is based in New York. Commenting on the appointment, Mr. Van Decker said, "Mark is an experienced leader with a broad background and proven track record in professional liability insurance. He brings a unique combination of management, underwriting and distribution knowledge necessary to navigate in a challenging market. Mr. Paccione has more than 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently serving as Senior Vice President with AXIS Insurance, leading its northeast region for CMS over the past five years. Previously, Mr. Paccione worked for Everest Re, where he helped establish its commercial management liability group. Before that, he spent 18 years at Chubb & Son in various management and executive roles. Mr. Paccione received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in finance, from the College of William and Mary in Willimsburg, Virginia. He is an active member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society. In addition, he previously served on the Board of Directors for the Insurance Federation of New York.
