"The security industry is at a crossroads. With new vulnerabilities emerging every day, and traditional solutions falling short, Skyport Systems is reinventing how businesses approach security," said Art Gilliland, CEO of Skyport Systems. "Kelly has built her career by introducing revolutionary changes in the way entire industries need to think to drive success for their early-stage companies. Her innovative approaches to storytelling, creativity and creating meaningful audience connections are exactly what we need to help people reimagine the way security should be accomplished."

Throughout her career, Seelig has held senior positions managing all aspects of marketing including product marketing, corporate marketing, communications, lead generation, developer relations and digital ad social media. Prior to joining Skyport, Seelig served as vice president of marketing and communications for BlueJeans Network and as senior vice president of global marketing for BlueSnap. She formerly held marketing positions at two other notable Silicon Valley startups, including cleantech company Bloom Energy, where she led corporate marketing and directed the company's widely publicized 2010 launch, which was featured on 60 Minutes and generated over 1,400 media mentions. The company went on to receive PR Week's Corporate Branding Campaign of the Year award in 2011. Seelig previously built a globally recognized brand in under three years at Cobalt (News - Alert) Networks, driving the company to both a successful IPO in 1999 and acquisition by Sun Microsystems in 2000.

Skyport Systems' SkySecure was built to manage the complexities of today's realities with a converged system that brings together zero trust compute, virtualization and a full stack of security technologies. This convergence makes it so easy to deploy and manage that it can be up and running in approximately 30 minutes. It logs all traffic at a forensically auditable level, enabling users to see where traffic originates, where it is headed, whether it was allowed or not, what policy allowed or blocked it, and when and who put that policy into action. Remote management capability allows users to easily secure branch infrastructure, eliminating the need for firewalls, proxies, MPLS or other security measures.

"Skyport Systems has changed how security will be delivered by building it into the infrastructure from the ground up," said Seelig. "With a solution that stands apart from anything else on the market and an executive team that includes some of the brightest security and technology minds in the industry, I believe we are on the cusp of making this one of the fastest-growing, most impactful security companies in the market."
