Netformx®, the leader in sales enablement and profit acceleration platforms for IT solution providers, announced today availability of Netformx Collection Engine, a standalone application that makes it easy to perform a network discovery at a remote customer location. It is a streamlined, self-contained version of the existing Netformx discovery collector that is easy to download, install, and distribute. This is a new benefit to all Netformx DesignXpert users at no additional cost.

Netformx Collection Engine creates a baseline and audit of a customer's actual network to provide insights on technology upgrade, replacement, and enhancement opportunities. It identifies topology, equipment, and configuration data to allow reporting of end of life, end of support, and resource gaps. Users can audit and discover multi-vendor networks to accurately baseline a customer's technology in minutes.

With the Collection Engine, users can now get discovery results without leaving the office, thereby eliminating extensive travel, which saves time and money. Using this portable application they can support their entire customer base and collect asset inventory data remotely.

The slim, ready-to-use Collection Engine application is quickly downloaded by the solution provider from the Netformx Hub. The application file can then be emailed or sent to the enterprise customer so they can run the discovery, even within a "walled garden." Once the collection process is complete the enterprise customer can email the encrypted results file to the solution provider for analysis leveraging Netformx DesignXpert. The solution provider is free to copy and distribute any number of Collection Engine applications to its end customers without charge.
