Pennsylvania School Districts Select Integrated Financial and Human Resources Solution from Tyler Technologies

Tyler Technologies (News - Alert), Inc. (NYSE: TYL) signed agreements with several Pennsylvania school districts for Tyler's Infinite Visions® integrated financial and personnel management solution. The agreements include hosting, training, and related professional services.

The school districts sought a progressive solution to automate many manual processes. The districts also wanted to partner with a financially strong and operationally proven technology company with deep experience in state and federal reporting and compliance requirements. In choosing Tyler, the districts also gained value from Tyler's employee self-service application, which streamlines human resource processes and helps improve communication with instructors.

Four districts in Bedford County were operating on the same legacy system. The districts - Bedford Area School District, Chestnut Ridge School District, Northern Bedford County School District, and Tussey Mountain School District - chose to standardize with Infinite (News - Alert) Visions, allowing them to share resources and maximize investments.

After checking with other Pennsylvania districts using Tyler solutions, Bedford County school districts chose Tyler's Infnite Visions to integrate financial, budgeting, procurement, payroll and human resources services. The districts chose to have Infinite Visions delivered via a software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) model.

In Blair County, the Greater Altoona Career and Technology Center (GACTC), along with the Hollidaysburg School District and the Claysburg-Kimmel School District, formed a consortium several years ago to review and evaluate technologies, and sought a solution to replace an aging legacy system used by all three entities. After a competitive review, the consortium selected Tyler's Infinite Visions based on the robust functionalities for core financials, procurement, budgeting, inventory, and payroll and human resources. GACTC and Claysburg-Kimmel will use Infinite Visions under SaaS agreements.

A significant issue facing the districts was complying with federal and state reporting processes. With more than 1,000 school districts currently using Infinite Visions, Tyler solutions incorporate public sector reporting requirements so districts can fulfill their federal and state obligations.

The four Bedford County school districts include 13 schools with a total enrollment of approximately 5,400 students. In Blair County, the Hollidaysburg and Claysburg-Kimmel districts are composed of seven schools with approximately 4,200 students enrolled, and the GACTC serves about 1,000 students from multiple school districts across Blair County and neighboring counties.
