CES Asia 2016 Announces Alibaba Group Keynote and Official Industry Partnership


CES Asia™ 2016 today announced that Yin Jing, president of Alibaba's Tmall 3C and Home Appliances business unit and Simon Hu, president of Alibaba Cloud, will deliver a keynote address at the upcoming show. In addition, several of Alibaba Group's major business units, including Tmall 3C and Home Appliances, Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba Smart Living and Alibaba.com, will support the show through the group's official industry partnership. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association, and co-produced by Intex Shanghai, the second annual CES (News - Alert) Asia will run May 11-13, 2016 in Shanghai, China.

Alibaba Group's keynote will take place from 1-1:45 PM on Thursday, May 12 at the Kerry Hotel, Shanghai Ballrooms 2-3. Together, Yin and Hu will discuss the potential of technology and how Alibaba's different business units will enable brands to succeed via ecommerce solutions.

Through Alibaba's industry partnership, Tmall will bring a dynamic exhibit to the CES Asia show floor (SNIEC, Hall N2, Booth #2503). More, Alibaba.com, Alibaba's leading global wholesale platform will host a conference session on Thursday, May 12 from 2-4 PM, to include insights into emerging technology market trends. The full CES Asia conference program will feature more than 50 conference sessions and more than 100 speakers, covering the latest tech trends including IoT, robotics, automotive technology, unmanned systems and beyond.

No other event in the world, including CES, has all major Chinese retailers participating together. In addition to Alibaba, JD.com, Suning and Yihaodian will exhibit at CES Asia 2016. Returning to Shanghai for its second year, CES Asia 2016 is expanding from two exhibit halls in 2015 to four with a show floor that will span 32,000 gross square meters (16,000 net quare meters). Featuring more than 350 exhibiting companies, the entire global technology industry will be represented at CES Asia across 15 product categories from 3D printing and smart home to vehicle technology and wearables.
