Lucid Appoints Ben Hogg as Managing Director, EMEA; Names Brett Schnittlich as President and Andy Ellis as Chief Operating Officer

Lucid, the largest global audience platform, announced today the appointment of Ben Hogg as managing director, EMEA - a continued step in the company's international growth. Ben joins Lucid from Research Now, where he was managing director of portfolio businesses. He will be based in Lucid's London office, which opened in December.

Ben started his career as managing director and owner of Bristol-based youth communications and marketing agency Out of Hand. Ben's first job in online market research came with passive measurement company NetValue in 1999. Ben then moved to MyVoice as business development director before joining Nielsen//NetRatings. Ben launched SF-based mobile measurement and survey company Telephia (News - Alert) in Europe, became e-Rewards' first European employee in 2006, then joined Research Now.

"We have incredible clients and partners in EMEA markets," said Patrick Comer, CEO, Lucid. "Lucid has doubled in size and revenue since the beginning of 2015, and we're on pace to break that in 2016. To continue super-serving our partners and expand internationally, we needed a powerhouse leader in EMEA. Ben's that person. He knows what it takes to develop our products across Europe and beyond. He ca even get you out of a Slovakian jail."

Not one to be left without a pithy press release quote, Ben Hogg said, "Lucid has built upon game-changing technology in the research space to create a truly global audience platform with the potential to influence multiple industries. I already feel at home with Lucid's culture and vision, and the technology is simply world class. I look forward to being part of Lucid's international expansion, by showing clients how our software can significantly improve their margins, streamline their processes, and in using our Proof suite of products, go well beyond the survey to monitor and improve advertising campaigns. There will probably be some karaoke and dancing along the way."

Along with Hogg's appointment, Lucid also announced new titles for two senior executives.

Andy Ellis, president of Lucid's Fulcrum (News - Alert) and Federated Sample business units, has been named to the position of chief operating officer, Lucid. All business units, including Proof, are being consolidated under the all-powerful umbrella of Mr. Ellis.

Brett Schnittlich, Lucid's chief technology officer, has been named president and CTO, Lucid. Adding to his responsibilities of technology and product development, Brett will now tackle global corporate development.

"In fast-growth companies, responsibilities and leadership evolve faster than titles can keep up," said Comer. "Andy and Brett have been core to our mission - making the unknown known - from the start. As we've reshaped market research and consumer insights, our growth has reshaped the company. We're now over 125 people around the world and are entering new industries every year. The structure of our leadership team now reflects this. I am very proud to welcome Ben to Lucid, and congratulate Brett and Andy on their need to print new business cards."
