NCI Wins Position on Innovative GSA Agile Services BPA

NCI, Inc. (NASDAQ: NCIT), a leading provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. Federal Government agencies, announced today it was awarded a five-year, multiple-award blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with a ceiling value of $25 million through the General Services Administration (GSA) and its 18F technology consulting group to provide agile services. The award is subject to the terms and conditions of the company's GSA (News - Alert) Schedule 70. GSA's Assisted Acquisition Services office will manage the post-award task orders.

Following GSA's request for a "show-me" type response, NCI's submission was a working prototype of a U.S. Food and Drug Administration food recall impact application, built using agile tools and methods the company currently leverages for its federal customers. (The full submission artifacts may be viewed here: https://github.com/nci-ats/agile-bpa.) NCI's team established a geographic information system-centric application that provided rich information, effective search and crisp user experience. The agile, open-source approach used for NCI's prototype previously led to the company's award-winning National Broadband Map developed for the Federal Communications Commission.

"We are thrilled to be working with the GSA to bring transformative agile technologies to current and new customers," said Brian J. Clark, NCI's president and CEO. "Agile (News - Alert) software and Lean O&M comprise our core software delivery philosophies. We're excited to extend the benefits of this approach more broadly across the federal government through GSA's innovative BPA."
