WAKEFIELD, R.I., March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- SkillBuilders announced today that V1.1.2 of "ALATO", A Lightweight Administration Tool for Oracle Database, is now available at www.skillbuilders.com/alato.  While previous versions supported Linux and Oracle Database Standard and Enterprise Editions, Version 1.1.2 contains support for:

• Windows, Linux and any UNIX supporting a bash shell.
• Oracle Database Editions Enterprise, Standard and Express (XE)
• Oracle Database Versions 11g R2 and 12c
• APEX Versions V4 and V5

ALATO on Oracle Database Express Edition is free.

ALATO is the first commercial Application Express ("APEX") application written for the DBA. It is "the AEX App for DBAs". 

ALATO is essential for:

• ISV's that embed Oracle Database within their application where OEM is not available
• 12c Standard Edition customers who need more features than available with "DB Express".  (DB Control has been discontinued in 12c.)
