StarLeaf Launches Recording as a Service

StarLeaf, the leading cloud video conferencing and calling provider, announced StarLeaf Encore, the company's cloud recording service. As a new addition to the StarLeaf Conferencing services portfolio, Encore is available to all existing and new customers that need to record, save and share conferences.

StarLeaf Encore is available on a license basis, and there's no need for hardware or a lengthy set up. Once Encore is activated for a customer, all meeting hosts can select 'record' when scheduling a meeting. The service is available to all StarLeaf customers, not only to those with StarLeaf clients and endpoints but also to those who have Cisco, Polycom (News - Alert) or Lifesize endpoints registered to the StarLeaf Cloud.

Customers that use StarLeaf video endpoints also benefit from a tightly integrated environment that allows recording to be initiated, interrupted and resumed directly from the StarLeaf touchscreen controller, all while the meeting takes place. This makes Encore truly versatile and delivers users the power to mute ad go off-line when the need arises.

"For video users the world over recording meetings has moved away from the category of 'nice to have', to become an essential component of their collaboration tool kit and a way to preserve corporate memory," said Mark Loney, CEO StarLeaf. "The real beauty of Encore is that it is 'recording as a service' and customers can be up and running in minutes."

With Encore, recordings are secure and only accessible to meeting hosts who can download and share them with colleagues, customers and partners. StarLeaf Encore is a perfect solution for capturing and sharing training sessions, HR meetings, product demonstrations, corporate news and much more.
