Campus Film Screening to Celebrate School Choice on 1/27

A movie screening will be held on January 27 to highlight the need for options in education.

Campus students are gathering for a screening of The Cartel in the Gordon College Cinema Room hosted by AEI on Campus on January 27 at 6 p.m. The event is timed to coincide with National School Choice Week (January 24-30, 2016), which will be the largest series of education-related events in U.S. history.

The Cartel shows our educational system like we've never seen it before. Balancing local storylines against interviews with education experts such as Clint Bolick (former president of Alliance for School Choice), Gerard Robinson (president of Black Alliance for Educational Options), and Chester Finn (president of the Thomas B. Fordham Institute), The Cartel explores what dedicated parents, committed teachers, clear-eyed officials, and tireless reformers are doing to make our schools better for our kids.

"AEI n Campus is a student-led organization centered on promoting freedom and enterprise in America and abroad. There is no better way to advance these principles than participation in National School Choice Week. By advancing freedom in education, we hope to ensure no child's future is limited by their ZIP code," said Paul Crookston of AEI on Campus.

The event is co-sponsored by the ISI (News - Alert) Newman Society. Organizers expect 30 students and professors to attend.

A nonpartisan, nonpolitical public awareness effort, National School Choice Week shines a positive spotlight on effective education options for students, families, and communities around the country.
