InComm Digital Solutions Introduces Digital Open-Loop Prepaid Products

ATLANTA, Jan. 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- InComm, a leading prepaid product and transaction services company, today announced the launch of new digital open-loop prepaid products available for distribution as part of incentive and loyalty programs. The new products are digital versions of Visa gift or reward cards delivered to an email address and are redeemable on any U.S.-based e-commerce site where Visa debit cards are accepted.

The InComm Digital Solutions Platform has long been relied on in incentive, loyalty, rewards, promotions and mobile application ecosystems for the fulfillment of physical and digital gift cards. The new digital open-loop gift and reward cards have been added to a broad catalog of open- and closed-loop prepaid cards that features many of the nation's leading brands.

"More and more rewards programs utilize gift cards as a reward or incentive," said Mike Fletcher, General Manager, InComm Digital Solutions. "Being able to instantly deliver an open-loop reward adds value to the customer experience by making it easy for the customer to purchase whatever they wish immediately. Challenges related to managing inventory, reporting, and reconciliation have held many companies back from offering digital open loop. InComm is pleased to mitigate these concerns by adding the products to a robust platform designed for fulfilling and managing stored value in B2B environments."

A recent survey published by the Incentive Research Foundation indicated that open-loop cards were the most prevalent type of card used in employee incentive ad customer reward programs, favored in 56% of programs by companies with annual revenue of $100 million or more and rising to 62% for programs run by companies with annual revenues between $1 million and $9 million. Additionally, recent InComm research has shown that 55% of consumers are interested in storing digital gift cards on their phone for self-use.

"With these digital open-loop cards, InComm is excited to round out our product offering for loyalty and incentive programs," Fletcher said. "By offering open- and closed-loop products in digital and physical formats through a single platform, we provide incentive program managers a wide range of choice and flexibility. With open loop playing an increasing role in incentives programs and digital prepaid on the rise for self-use, this product is an important offering."

InComm Digital Solutions sees adoption rates between 40% and 60% for digital closed-loop programs, and similar results are expected with open-loop products. Companies can now purchase the digital open-loop products in bulk for incentives and rewards programs on the InComm Incentives web site after creating a corporate account.
