North Bridge Growth Equity Expands Investment Team with New Appointments and Promotion


North Bridge, a leading growth equity and venture capital firm, today announced the promotion of Won Park to Principal and two new additions to the growth equity investment team: Chris Cavanagh as Principal and Brendan Gibney as Vice President.

Won Park, Principal
Won focuses on identifying and evaluating growth equity investments, covering a wide spectrum of technology and technology-enabled companies. He is actively involved with North Bridge's investments in Clarity (News - Alert) Software, Ingenious Med and Valence Health.

Prior to joining North Bridge, Won was an Associate at Covington Associates, a Boston-based middle-market investment bank, completing a number of transactions in the healthcare and technology industries. Before joining Covington, Won was an investment banking analyst at Piper Jaffray in New York. Won graduated from Middlebury College, where h earned an AB in Economics. He has been active with NAAAP Boston, a non-profit organization that promotes career advancement, leadership development, and diversity in the Asian-American community.



Chris Cavanagh, Principal
Prior to joining North Bridge, Chris was a Vice President at Great Hill Partners, a $4 billion Boston-based, growth-focused, private equity firm, where he spent over 7 years investing in technology and technology-enabled services companies. His previous investment experience includes Reward Gateway (News - Alert), PlanSource, bswift (sold to Aetna), Wayfair ($3 billion IPO on NYSE: W), Ziff Davis (sold to j2 Global, Inc.), and Vitacost.com (sold to Kroger).

Chris began his career as an investment banking analyst at Citigroup in New York, where he focused in the consumer products and retail sectors. Chris graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a BA in Economics. He is an active member of Notre Dame's Irish Entrepreneurship Network, serving as a mentor to entrepreneurs and a judge in the annual McCloskey Business Plan Competition.


Brendan Gibney, Vice President
Prior to joining North Bridge, Brendan was a Senior Associate at Prospect Partners, a Chicago-based, lower-middle-market private equity firm. Before Prospect, Brendan was an Associate with TA Associates in both the Boston and Hong Kong offices. Brendan started his career in investment banking as an analyst with William Blair & Company in the Technology group. Brendan graduated from the University of Notre Dame, where he earned a BBA in Finance. He is active with an education not-for-profit in the Boston area.
