Meyers & Flowers Invites Farmers to Syngenta Town Hall Meetings Throughout Illinois from November 30 to December 10Meyers & Flowers, an Illinois-based law firm, invites corn farmers across Illinois to join them at one of their Town Hall meetings regarding the Syngenta litigation. The firm will be hosting a series of informational meetings throughout Illinois from November 30 through December 10, 2015. The meetings are free and open to any farmer who grew or sold corn since the 2013 crop year. "Syngenta is one of the largest agribusiness corporations in the world," said Brian Perkins, partner at Meyers & Flowers. "Syngenta prematurely marketed, distributed, and commercialized its Agrisure Viptera GMO corn seed at a time when it was not approved for import by China, one of the largest importers of U.S. raised corn in the world. Syngenta's actions suppressed the price of corn resulting in billions of dollars in damages to Illinois farmers and continue to have profound implications on the entire American agricultural industry." Meyers & Flowers understands the economic impact of Syngenta's actions and will be discussing the damages each Illinois corn farmer has suffered and continues to suffer. According to Perkins, "While the market damages sustained by our farmers are significant, the individual damages sustained by our farmers must also be fully explored as no one farmer operates in the same manner." The Meyers & Flowers Syngenta meetings are being hosted by Illinois attorneys Brian J. Perkins and Michael W. Lenert. Each meeting should last approximately one hour, will include a question and answer session, and will have food provided. The meetings are scheduled as follows: MODAY, NOVEMBER 30
