With the combined technologies of AB and Phonak, the innovation leaders in cochlear implants and hearing instruments, the Naída CI Q Series of sound processors from Advanced Bionics provides a range of unique, groundbreaking features designed to suit individual lifestyles and hearing needs.

The Q90 is the top-of-the-line processor in the Naída CI Q Series from Advanced Bionics, following the previous-generation Q70, which raised the bar for superior hearing. Offering the smallest PowerCel™ battery to date and new microphone technology for focusing on speech, the Naída CI Q90 now surpasses the bar as the premium choice for recipients who want the full line of features in the most compact package.

The Q90 improves the listening comfort for recipients when they are outdoors in the presence of wind (WindBlock), in reverberant environments like large assembly halls (EchoBlock) and around sudden loud sounds such as clanging plates at a restaurant (SoundRelax). It further offers the most premium automation capabilities for improved communication in complex, quick-changing and very loud listening environments (AutoSound™ OS). By applying unique Phonak Binaural VoiceStream Technology™ for bilateral recipients, the Q90 delivers focused sound captured by four microphones to improve speech understanding in the most challenging listening situations (StereoZoom).

"We're proud to deliver innovations that significantly change lives in such positive ways," said Hansjuerg Emch, President of Advanced Bionics and Group Vice President of the Sonova Medical Division within which AB resides. "Everyone is thrilled to introduce a new processor that is smalle in size and bigger in features for the best possible hearing performance in the most difficult listening settings."

Also available with the Q Series from Advanced Bionics:

  • The only cochlear implant system designed with Phonak Binaural VoiceStream Technology™ that allows AB devices to work together as a unified system, making instant adjustments based on the sound all around
  • Intelligent analysis and automatic adaptation to sound environments with the new AutoSound™ OS technology
  • Most comprehensive set of options for comfort and confidence on the phone, including the new Phonak EasyCall accessory and Phonak DECT Phone (News - Alert)
  • Widest portfolio of wireless accessories for streaming speech and media, including the Phonak ComPilot, TVLink II, RemoteMic and Roger™ technology
  • Unequaled swimmable accessories for hearing anywhere with the AquaMic™ headpiece, the industry's only waterproof microphone and the AquaCase™ enclosure

"Each day there is something new and exciting happening. In restaurants, the background noise is reduced, making it easier to hear the people in front of and beside me. Right away, I noticed a big difference while in my vehicle. The sound of the wind is to the point of being non-existent. The music and voices on the radio are clearer. I can actually have a conversation with my passenger. When at church, where the acoustics are bad, I find that I can better hear what is being said-more than those with natural hearing," said Heather Burnell, AB recipient. "Words seem to be clearer and crisp. I have come a long way since I got my cochlear implant. I am so thankful to AB."
