Syniverse Globalizes Mast's Enterprise Mobility Solutions

Syniverse is providing Mast, the mobile business communications platform, with the global signaling and messaging solutions necessary to allow subscribers to use a single mobile device with two numbers - one for business and one personal use - when traveling abroad. The international roaming capabilities gained through Syniverse's (News - Alert) networks enables subscribers to continue to access their device's dual mobility functions when traveling to preserve the same mobile experience they expect at home.

As a mobile software and communications platform, Mast enables businesses to simplify their employees' mobile communications and increase productivity by enabling smartphones to support two phone numbers, split billing and separate data allowances. This intuitive functionality eliminates the need for a company to provide desk phones and for employees to carry separate mobile devices for work and personal use.

"Working with Syniverse, enables us to extend the unique functionality of Mast's platform when our customers travel abroad," said David Messenger, CEO and Co-Founder, Mast. "Syniverse navigates the complexities of roaming across multiple international operators to ensure that our subscribers' experience is seamless wherever they travel, and ensures a scalable, robust global platform as we grow."

Under the agreement, Syniverse is providing Mast with signaling solutions that seamessly translate international roaming protocols and offer the interoperability necessary to solve switch, signaling, routing and numbering intricacies through a single signaling point code instead of directly routing to hundreds of networks around the world. Mast chose Syniverse to help manage its international mobility services after completing a messaging pilot program where Syniverse provided Mast reach into international markets by enabling text-message delivery anywhere in the world. Extending the pilot, users will continue to receive SMS-based welcome notifications from Mast when crossing borders abroad.

"With reach to more than 1,000 operators across the world, we eliminate the complex international roaming setup requirements for Mast while securing their ability to provide compelling mobile services to markets globally," said Alfred de Cárdenas, President of Global Sales and Service and Chief Sales Officer, Syniverse. "The combination of Syniverse's reach to nearly every operator around the globe and Mast's services to help companies manage mobile productivity is driving innovation in the enterprise market."

Mast joins a growing list of mobile service providers that Syniverse serves through its established infrastructure that offers the flexibility to rapidly launch new services. Syniverse recently announced its role to enable MVNE/MVNO Ready Wireless to control 4G data sessions through hosted data optimization and recently presented at the 2015 MVNO World Congress in France.
