GRENOBLE, France and SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- UShareSoft today announced new releases of its cloud application delivery products, UForge AppCenter 3.6 and UForge Marketplace 3.1. UShareSoft continues to build significant momentum in the market, with new initiatives in place including the AppHub European open source marketplace, new global distribution partners such as Crayon, and new customers including the Talend Exchange Marketplace.

UForge AppCenter 3.6—for building new cloud-native applications or migrating existing applications with no recoding—and UForge Marketplace 3.1—for self-service application delivery to end users through an enterprise app store or cloud marketplace—include a raft of new features such as Docker support, Windows server migration to any cloud, a slicker user interface and support for 3^rd-party plugins.

Improved User Interface

Fully Agnostic Platform

• Docker Support: allowing users to create repeatable templates and base images for Docker and LXC environments with full software governance, taking the number of supported formats to more than 25
• Support for cloud-init: to help simplify and accelerate the provisioning of machine images on supported clouds
• Expanded cloud format support: new command line tool and API set allow cloud providers to quickly add multiple cloud formats, in their own brands, based n supported IaaS and CMP platforms
• Expanded server support: already supporting x86-based servers, users can now create application templates for ARM servers
• Support for new operating systems: users can now create application templates based on Pidora and Raspian operating systems for the ARM architecture. UShareSoft already supports 10 different operating systems (current and previous versions of Fedora, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu, Scientific Linux, OpenSUSE, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux, Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows Server 2012 R2)

• Windows server migration: expanded migration support goes beyond existing Linux server migration, now enabling users to deep scan a Windows server then create a new machine image ready for migration to cloud

• Repository management: new command line tool and API set allow platform administrators to dynamically register custom or third-party repositories to the platform
• Multi-NIC support: Enables customers to support several network interfaces within a VPN or externally

UForge Marketplace 3.1
New features and enhancements in UForge Marketplace 3.1 include:

• Flexible billing integration: offering the choice between a "ready-to-run" billing system which ships with the Marketplace, or integration of their own existing billing processes via APIs
• Identity authorization: Simplify identity management by using an external identity authority for user authentication and authorization.
• Integration with SaaS platforms: enables customers and 3^rd parties to create plugins to extend the marketplace business logic and connect with external IT services including reporting, payment and billing plugins, or integration with CRM and other SaaS IT services
• Uniform search interface: support for the commonly-used FIQL language simplifies search processing and offer users a unified search experience
• Enhanced product listings: including the ability to add screenshots and other visuals to vendor product listings
• Multi-level categories: allowing platform administrators to create multi-level categories of products within the marketplace or app store to reflect complex product taxonomies
