GershonMedia Names Aziza Jamgerchinova VP, Business Development & Strategy


GershonMedia, Inc., a leading advisory firm to many of the world's most influential media companies, has appointed Aziza Jamgerchinova as Vice President, Business Development & Strategy. This newly created role reflects GershonMedia's strategic focus on video and supports its global portfolio of clients operating or conducting business in this high-growth vertical.

Prior to joining GershonMedia, Ms. Jamgerchiova led the growth of GlobalPost, an independent news organization acquired earlier this month by the country's largest public broadcaster WGBH in Boston. In 2012, she developed and advocated a reader revenue strategy as a business development lead at Press+, the world's largest paywall tech company. Previously, Ms. Jamgerchinova reported on international and current affairs at The New York Times and CNN, where she is credited with driving award-winning coverage of many breaking news events.



In addition to her role with GershonMedia, Ms. Jamgerchinova is an adjunct lecturer at CUNY Graduate School of Journalism and a Visiting Broadcast Professor at the Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media in Bangalore, India. She also serves on the board of directors of Columbia Business School Alumni Club of New York.
