Alliant Names Ilene Anders Chief Financial OfficerAlliant Insurance Services, the nation's largest specialty insurance brokerage firm, has named Ilene Anders as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The company's prior Chief Information Officer (CIO) will employ her diverse background in financial services and technology to lead Alliant's finance team during a period of rapid growth and expansion. Anders brings a multidisciplinary approach to the position well-suited for an industry where the worlds of finance and technology continue to coalesce. Anders most recently led Alliant's technology team as CIO, where she spearheaded the development and implementation of client-facing technology solutions. She also oversaw daily operations and data security for the organization while working to improve and strengthen its internal technology infrastructure. Under Anders' watch, Alliant was named to the prestigious InformationWeek Elite 100 list recognizing America's top business technology innovators on the strength of its client portals and mobile technologies. Anders will retain her position as CIO on an interim basis until a permanent successor is named. Previously, Anders had served as Alliant's Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis following prior positions in investment banking and financial consulting. She has a combined two decades of experience in the financial sector. Anders takes the reins of CFO from Greg Zimmer, who has had dual responsibilities as both President and CFO for many years. This move will now enable Zimmer to focus even more attention on the overall leadership and strategic growth initiatives of the company in his role as President of Alliant.
