Swagbucks Selects Pledgeling to Streamline Employee Giving

Pledgeling, the easiest way to donate to charity, today announced it was selected by Swagbucks to handle the company's employee giving program. Each quarter, Swagbucks gives its employees $50 to donate to the charity of his or her choice. The funds are credited directly into the employee's Pledgeling wallet, allowing the individual to donate to multiple charities in his or her own name through the Pledgeling mobile application, or website. The charity is then notified that the donations were part of Swagbucks' employee giving program.

"We are thrilled to work with Swagbucks to help both the company and their employees give more easily to charity. By using Pledgeling, an employee can give on their own terms, while reducing administrative expenses for the company," said James Citron, CEO of Pledgeling. "Employee giving is critical to both charities and to corporate America, and we are proud to help Swagbucks take the lead in encouraging employees to give back while simplifying the process along the way."

"Giving back and supporting charitable giving has been engrained in Swagbucks' since the earliest days of the company," said Josef Gorowitz, Founder and President of Prodege, the parent company of Swagbucks. "We're excited to be working with Pledgeling to make it easier for our employees to donate to the charity of their choice on an ongoing basis. The program has taken a time consuming and manual process and made it simple thanks to their technology, saving our company countless hours in administrative costs. This quarter, Swagbucks' employees made more than 170 donations to more than 120 different charities in the US."

Based on research from Dunham & Company, nearly $10 bllion dollars in donations is lost to problems in the charitable donation flow, from cumbersome checkout processes to a lack of mobile capability. Donors using Pledgeling are six times more likely to complete their donation via Pledgeling due to the introduction of one-click donations and a best-in-breed mobile application, which ensures more donations are made and more money goes directly to charity. In the last several months, Pledgeling customers have given over $500,000 to more than 1,000 non-profit organizations without taking a penny for transaction fees.
