Blackbird International Corporation and Wadamba Technovations Pty Ltd Make a Joint Announcement for Implementation of Power Plant

TEL AVIV, Israel, August 4, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --

Blackbird International Corporation (OTC: BBRD), a global leader in renewable sea wave energy technology through its wholly owned affiliate (WERPO) and Wadamba Technovations Pty Ltd, its partner in South Africa, are pleased to announce a power plant in South Africa. Daniel Naimi, head of operations, states, "We are most pleased with not only this joint venture but that this advances us in increasing our footprint in African countries."

Blackbird has agreed to set up this Joint Venture in order to erect a 500 MW power plant in South Africa, one of the most energy-stricken Western countries.

This initial project shall generate in excess of $140,000,000 in revenues annually. Mr Naimi adds, "This is the first of more projects in Africa. Each project will increase our revenue stream with the result of multiplying substantially shareholder value."

Blackbird shall be releasing additional contracts in the coming weeks.

Wadamba technovations Pty Ltd, based in Johannesburg, South Africa, is owned by Mr Thembelani Mbolekwana. Mr Mbolekwana received his National Diploma in chemical engineering and information technology from University Technology of Cape Peninsular. With over 17 years of experience in the ICT sector, and over 6 years of experience in infrastructure development, Mr Mbolekwana has the know-how to successfully implement, manage and spread WERPO's sea-wave technology. He is also a non-executive director at POSEGA HOLDINGS, PhiBon Capital and Mvunonala Holdings. It is with this experience and connections that Mr. Mbolekwana will help take WERPO to the next level in Africa.

South Africa currently meets its electricity demand primarily through the usage of coal-fired power plants with 77% of its total lectricity being generated from the burning of these fossil fuels. While South Africa does have a substantial amount of coal available, the government has recognized the need to shift the reliance from fossil fuels to renewable sources. In order to achieve this transition, the South African government has allocated over $3.3 billion (USO) toward the development of alternative energy sources, with the goal of generating 18.2 GW of electricity through freshly erected green sources.

South Africa's nearly 3,000 km of coastline is the landing site for waves that are perfect for electricity generation with WERPO's sea-wave technology. The government of South Africa has expressed the desire to take advantage of their coastline as a way to achieve their alternative energy goals through the implementation of a series of power plants.
