CamelBak and Osprey Packs Announce Settlement of Suit

CamelBak, the global hydration leader, and Osprey Packs, a top supplier of technical packs to specialty retail, today jointly announced the settlement of the patent infringement lawsuit between the two companies. In late February, 2015, CamelBak sued Osprey in California federal court for patent infringement of its hands-free reservoir hydration systems. CamelBak and Osprey have now reached a settlement. "I am pleased that we were able to come to a quick and satisfactory resolution of the lawsuit," said CamelBak CEO Sally McCoy. Added Tom Barney, CEO of Osprey Packs, "We are happy to have this matter settled and for both companies to be able to focus on the future." The terms of the agreement are confidential.
