With 25 years of experience in the channel, Neto will assume the role during an important time for Unify, which has undergone a global transformation to a channel-centric go-to-market approach.

"I am thrilled about this opportunity to continue Unify's channel strategy in Latin America," said Neto. "Unify has a solid channel partner program and has been working strongly in the region to develop new channels. We have already come a long way in this direction, but there are still a lot of opportunities ahead."

Before joining Unify, Neto worked as Vice President of Sales at Silver Peak Systems, where he developed the company's channel strategy for Latin America. Neto also held leadership positions at leading companies such as 3Com Corporation, Sonicwall, AudioCodes, Riverstone Networks, Philips Electronics, and Toshiba.

"Latin America represents a significant opportunity for Unify, and it is crucial that we continue strengthening our channels in Brazil and other parts of the region," said Jon Pritchard, Executive Vice President of Channels at Unify. "Francisco has deep experience in the channel and we look forward to him continuing to develop our partner base, and expand our business in Ltin America."

The appointment of Neto follows the May publication of Unify's 2015 "Global Voice of the Partner Survey," which gathered feedback from more than 1,000 Unify channel partners in over 50 countries. The survey highlighted the channel's strong commitment to Unify, with 91 percent of partners planning to invest the same or more with Unify going forward.

As part of its strategy, Unify recently announced expanded opportunities for channel partners in the small and medium business (SMB) space and mid-markets with the announcement of the latest updates to OpenScape Business and OpenScape Enterprise Express. Developed with direct input from channel partners, the all-in-one solutions deliver mobility, voice and unified communications (UC) capability at lower costs due to the ease of deployment.  Unify also announced the availability of software and hardware support services through the channel, providing additional opportunities for channel partners to generate revenue.
