Patient Encounter Platform Provider, Ingenious Med, to Deliver Solution for Catholic Health Initiatives

Ingenious Med, provider of the nation's premier patient encounter platform, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI), one of the nation's largest health systems. The nonprofit, faith-based health system has selected One by Ingenious Med (IM1) as its exclusive solution for all CHI hospitalists and other interested specialties nationwide.

CHI selected Ingenious Med's application after an extensive evaluation period, which included a head to head product pilot between Ingenious Med and competing vendors. During the pilot period, Ingenious Med proved their value by delivering live ADT integrations for more than 40 users within three different specialties. IM1 beat the competition in various areas, including physician adoption, integration capabilities and implementation processes.

With IM1, clinicians can capture critical, real-time data at the point-of-care, which streamlines processes and all but eliminates denials and charge lag. This frees up back office staff for other responsibilities, makes more efficient use of physician time, and keeps revenue flowing smoothly.

"We're committed to providing CHI with the technology they need to continue fulfilling their mission of nurturing healthy communities," said S. Hart Williford, president and CEO of Ingenious Med. "The flexibility and agility of IM1 will greatly benefit CHI's organization as they continue to roll out our patient encounter platform through the end of 2015."

About Catholic Health Initiatives

Catholic Health Initiatives, a nonprofit, faith-based health system formed in 1996 through the consolidation of four Catholic health systems, expresses its mission each day by creating and nurturing healthy communities in the hundreds of sites across the nation where it provides care. One of the nation's largest health systems, Englewood, Colorado-based CHI operates in 19 states and comprises 105 hospitals, including four academic health centers and major teaching hospitals and 30 critical-access facilities; community health-services organizations; accredited nursing colleges; homehealth agencies; and other facilities that span the inpatient and outpatient continuum of care. In fiscal year 2014, CHI provided $910 million in charity care and community benefit -- a nearly 20% increase over the previous year -- for programs and services for the poor, free clinics, education and research. Charity care and community benefit totaled more than $1.7 billion with the inclusion of the unpaid costs of Medicare. The health system, which generated revenues of almost $13.9 billion in fiscal year 2014, has total assets of $21.8 billion.
