The HIMSS Innovation Committee was established to identify emerging technologies and / or processes that positively impact healthcare by improving the care experience, individual and population health and reducing costs. Annually, more than 7,000 HIMSS volunteers involved in HIMSS Committees, Task Forces, Roundtables, Chapters and Work Groups join together in the mission of advancing and improving healthcare through the best use of IT. Gwyn joins the committee for its FY16/17 term, which begins on July 1, 2015 and ends on June 30, 2017. She will serve alongside eleven members, working together to identify key opportunities for transforming the quality, safety and cost effectiveness of healthcre.
