Fidelis Cybersecurity Hires Former McAfee GM; Expands Executive Team with Technology and Research Leaders


One month into its tenure as a standalone company, Fidelis Cybersecurity announced today new appointments and promotions to accelerate its full lifecycle advanced threat defense offering and market position.

David Macey has been hired as senior vice president, worldwide sales. In this role, Macey is responsible for driving revenue growth, channel engagement and customer acquisition and satisfaction. Macey brings deep security domain knowledge, technical acumen, international experience and a long history of helping security companies accelerate sales. He served in general manager roles at Oracle, Secure Computing and McAfee (News - Alert). As general manager and vice president, mail and web gateway business at McAfee, Macey built and managed a $300 million security business responsible for sales, product strategy and engineering. Macey also served as vice president, EMEA and senior vice president, international sales at Stellent (News - Alert), and has been the CEO of several early stage venture backed companies in the security space.

Kurt Bertone, currently chief security strategist at Fidelis, has been named chief technical officer and senior vice president, products. In his new role, Bertone is responsible for setting and executing on Fidelis' product vision and strategy. He also oversees threat research and technology alliances and partnerships. Before joining Fidelis, Bertone's two decades of security industry experience includes vice president, product management at Convergence, which he founded. His prior experience also includes roles as CTO, EMEA at Nortel (News - Alert) and Bay Networks and vice president, business development for Crossbeam Sytems.



Anubhav Arora has been promoted to chief architect. As chief architect, Arora is responsible for determining architectural plans and oversees design and implementation of product features. This role allows him to leverage his background and strengths in networking, computer science and security and data analytics to create cutting edge threat detection technology. He joined Fidelis from Lucent Technologies and Tellabs (News - Alert), where he was a distinguished engineer working on data plane software for ATM and MPLS switches.

Hardik Modi has been promoted to vice president, threat research from his prior position as director, threat research team. In less than two years, Modi created and built the Fidelis threat research team into a world-class threat management organization of 20 people. His team's research and Fidelis Threat Advisories have broad industry recognition. Prior to Fidelis, Modi held technology management and engineering positions at Ericsson (News - Alert).


Lindsay Weissbratten joined Fidelis from General Dynamics as vice president, human resources, and is responsible for designing and delivering the global human capital strategy for Fidelis. Weissbratten brings over two decades of experience developing programs and leading teams that have produced high impact and sustainable global results within the commercial software, technology and aerospace/defense industries.
