Baker Tilly Names Seven New Partners
Accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP (Baker
Tilly) has named seven new partners, effective June 1, 2015.
Rose
Ann Abraham, CPA Based in Baker Tilly's Chicago office,
Rose Ann Abraham started her career in public accounting over 13 years
ago and has been with the firm since 2006. Abraham specializes in
employee benefit plan audits and manages Chicago's employee benefit plan
practice. She is an active member of the Illinois Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) Society's employee benefit plan committee and
conference, and frequently speaks at industry conferences. A member of
the Baker Tilly's diversity and inclusion committee, she works
internally and externally to promote diversity and inclusion in the
profession. Abraham leads the firm's Growth and Retention of Women
(GROW) initiative in Chicago and serves as a board member of the Midwest
chapter of Ascend, a Pan-Asian leadership organization dedicated to
enhancing the presence and influence of current and future Pan-Asian
business leaders. Abraham holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
from the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign.
Jeff
Blattner, CPA Jeff Blattner joined Baker Tilly in 2001 and
is based in the firm's Madison, Wis., office, and specializes in the
construction, real estate and affordable housing industries. Blattner
has extensive experience in audit, consulting, tax planning and cost
certification engagements for low income housing tax credit and historic
tax credit entities nationwide, working with various state and federal
agencies and equity investors. He also specializes in evaluating
construction financial controls, construction contract auditing, and
financial statement audits of contractors and real estate owners.
Blattner holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University
of Wisconsin - La Crosse.
Ken
Fleming, CPA, CVA Locatedin Baker Tilly's Washington, D.C.
office, Ken Fleming has been with the firm since 2007 and is a member of
Baker Tilly's financial advisory services practice, providing clients
with transaction advisory, valuation, dispute and chief financial
officer advisory services. He has more than 16 years of public
accounting and advisory experience, serving government contracting,
software and technology, manufacturing, healthcare, biotechnology,
business services, real estate, emerging growth and private equity
clients. Fleming holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from
Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Business
Administration with a concentration in Finance from Colorado State
University.
Joseph
Lightcap, CPA Joseph Lightcap is a member of Baker Tilly's
public service practice group and specializes in providing accounting
and auditing services to local governmental entities, including
villages, counties and school districts. Lightcap is based in Baker
Tilly's Oak Brook, Ill., office, and has been with the firm since 2000.
He is actively involved in relevant industry organizations, including
the Illinois Association of School Business Officials and the Illinois
Government Finance Officers Association. Lightcap holds a Bachelor of
Science in Accountancy from the University of Illinois -
Urbana-Champaign.
James
McCann, CPA Based in Baker Tilly's Washington, D.C. office,
James McCann has been with the firm since 2002. He specializes in tax
compliance and consulting for owners and operators of commercial and
residential real estate, as well as high net worth individuals. McCann
holds Bachelor of Business Administration and Master of Accounting
degrees from the College of William and Mary.
Christine
Trunnell, CPA Christine Trunnell has been with the firm
since 2002 and is based in Baker Tilly's Washington, D.C. office. She is
a leader in the business information systems practice of the consulting
group, specializing in enterprise solution integration, system and
process optimization. Trunnell's focus has been on delivering complex
business solutions for clients in the non-profit, professional services
and government contracting industries. Trunnell received her Bachelor of
Science in Accounting from Virginia Tech.
Jonathan
Zeigler, CPA Jonathan Zeigler is a member of Baker Tilly's
insurance practice and is based in the Wyomissing, Pa., office. He has
more than 10 years of experience providing assurance services to
insurance clients, with a concentration in property and casualty and
warranty companies. Zeigler assists with overseeing internal policies
and procedures for the group's training program. He is experienced in
insurance company statutory accounting principles, U.S. generally
accepted accounting principles, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC (News - Alert))
reporting and filings under the Securities and Exchange Acts of 1933 and
1934, communications with the SEC and initial public offerings. Zeigler
directs the audit of a multinational insurance and investment holding
company, including coordination of international component auditors in
the United Kingdom, China and Bermuda. He holds a Bachelor of Science in
Accounting from the University of Pittsburgh.
