WTOIP Sparks Cross-Border IP Trading Between China and the U.S.

LOS ANGELES, May 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On May 8 (local time in the U.S.), WTOIP, the world's leading intellectual property ("IP") and industrial upgrading platform, and U.S. IP law firm Schmeiser, Olsen & Watts LLP ("SOW"), with the support of the China Enterprise Confederation, jointly hosted the International IP Monetization and Commercialization Forum 2015 held at the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. IP trading between China and the U.S., as well as the topic of cross-border technology transfer evoked keen discussion and participation of entrepreneurs and IP professionals from various countries including the U.S., China, Germany, Korea, Mexico, Singapore and India. Mr. James Pooley (Former Deputy General of WIPO), Mr. Brian Peck (Deputy Director of International Affairs and Business Development of California's Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development), Mr. Arlen Olsen (Managing Partner of SOW), Mr. Xie Xuhui (Bonn Xie, CEO of WTOIP), as well as representatives from numerous well-known enterprises such as CSR Corporation Limited, Baosteel Group Corporation, Bank of Beijing, Yonyou Software Co., Ltd. and LeTV.com, also provided insights to this topic.

Mr. Xie Xuhui proposed that in the current tide of globalization, international IP trading has become a new front of economic growth that will greatly boost the world economy in the future, especially for China and the U.S.

Achieving IP commercialization and cross-border flow of IP resources can effectively solve the problems of idle IP resources, territoriality of IP and the need for specific resources in various geographic region. It can also help utilize the tremendous global IP repository and optimize the value of IP and the utilization of these resources. By achieving the free flow and commercialization of IP, industrialization will become even more important. In addition to technology, enterprises also require technical experts, equipment, testing laboratories, industrial designs and packaging designs to carry out industrialization. Whether its commercialization or industrialization, enterprises cannot rely solely on their own resources to complete these projects. Therefore, platforms which can help to fully utilize and optimize the allocation of global resources, such as WTOIP and IPTrader, are ideal for achieving such projects.

From the beginning, WTOIP has been working to build a worldwide bridge for IP with global strategic cooperation, turning friction into deep cooperation, and transforming challenges into opportunities. After a year of hard work, WTOIP has formed a strategic alliance with SOW LLP and AutoHarvest Foundation. WTOIP, as the central core of this alliance, actively seeks more opportunities for bilateral cooperation with corporations and institutions in order to provide comprehensive solutions in promoting the commercialization of technology. Through this forum, WTOIP added one more strategic partner with IPTrader, a U.S. IP trading institute, to further promot global allocation of IP.

In addition, WTOIP learned that Mr. Brian Peck, the Deputy Director of International Affairs and Business Development of California Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development, will organize an interflow program with a group of enterprises from Silicon Valley to visit China in the latter part of 2015. WTOIP as the leading IP service provider in China would devote itself to carrying out practical development of IP cooperation with Sino-U.S. enterprises in this interflow program.

"Constructing an IP ecosystem with comprehensive coverage and positive recyclability has been an important target in developing the platform of WTOIP, and this global IP forum is playing a key role in achieving this," said Mr. Xie Xuhui, the CEO of WTOIP, who received an interview during the forum. "As the first attempt in building a bridge of IP trading and technology transfer between China and the U.S., this forum is definitely rewarding. It is hoped that this small step by WTOIP will trigger a large step in IP trading between China and the U.S. and even among worldwide countries."

Mr. Xie Xuhui also indicated that this global IP forum is not only a high-end forum between China and the U.S., but also an authoritative, professional perspective and a practical international interflow platform, which the entire world will be facing, and the forum will actively facilitate IP interflow and cross-border IP trading.
