Texas Subcontractors Embrace Textura-CPM

More Than 4,000 Subcontractors Across the Lone Star State Use Leading Construction Payment Management Solution

CHICAGO, May 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Textura Corporation (NYSE: TXTR), a leading provider of collaboration solutions for the construction industry, announced that more than 4,000 subcontractors in Texas now use the Textura-CPM™ solution to improve efficiency and enhance visibility into draw status and compliance requirements.

A web-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Textura-CPM electronically integrates all construction payment management processes - including billing, lien waiver collection, progress claims, statutory declarations, sub-tier waivers, compliance management and payments - into a seamless workflow that makes the entire process faster and more efficient for all users.

"Billing projects is a huge undertaking each month. We have been participating in the Textura-CPM billing system for the last five-plus years for over 100 projects and 13 different general contractors. The system allows us to be up to date on change orders, billing changes and so on - in real time," said Susan Viereck, Corporate Credit Manager of Marek Brothers, a framing, drywall and acoustical contractor that operates throughout Texas, Oklahoma and Georgia. "We can be notified of changes and updates and go online and make the changes, and the 'paperwork' is received by the contractor immediately.  There is no lag time in mailing of change orders or notification of draw revisions."

"As credit manager, I appreciate the ability to review payment history and track our billings at any time," said Viereck. "One of the best features of Textura-CPM is the ability to sign documents 24 hours a day. I can sign documents when I am away from the office by logging into the system. The Textura-CPM system has revolutionized the construction industry's billing and payment process," she said. The Marek family of companies, headquartered in Houston, delivers commercial and residential specialty construction services through its offices in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, the Rio Grande Valley, Oklahoma City and Atlanta.

Textura-CPM also helps subcontractors by letting them spend less time filling out paperwork and more time on completing projects. Textura-CPM enables the rapid online entry of invoices and submission of lien waivers and compliance documents.

"We've used Textura on more than 50 jobs with nine different general contractors," said Matt Davis, Assistant Manager, JMEG LP. "It's helped us improve our relationships with the general contractors, because we can stay on top of compliance documents and have all the informatin they need much faster than before. Textura has been a competitive advantage for us." JMEG LP, which has been providing electrical construction services for over 35 years, operates throughout Texas and the Southwest from offices in Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin and San Antonio.

A major factor behind Textura-CPM becoming the payment management standard in Texas is the level of customer support Textura® provides every client. "When we received our first pay application request via CPM, we were very skeptical," said Pete Groetzinger, CFO, Brazos Masonry. "However, we quickly became one of Textura's biggest fans as we began to see its many benefits, from 100% accurate pay applications which are approved and accepted by the general contractor, to the streamlining of the lien release process, to the convenience of ACH payment transfers. Our project managers wish that all of our general contractor customers would make the move to Textura." One of the largest commercial masonry subcontractors in Texas, Brazos Masonry, Inc. was established in 1989 with the vision of creating a company built on serving its clients with superb safety, quality, service and scheduling.

"Having Textura-CPM be used by more than 4,000 subcontractors across Texas is a significant achievement, and it demonstrates the advantages our collaboration solutions offer the construction industry," said Mike Antis, Executive Vice President of Client Services, Textura Corporation. "With more than 50,000 subcontractors in the U.S. and Canada currently using Textura-CPM, it has become the standard for the industry. We look forward to helping more subcontractors improve efficiency and enhance productivity when it comes to the payment process."
