The AC1200 access points, which are both available at a MSRP of $249, deliver wireless speeds up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and up to 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band to support bandwidth-intensive applications or to provide reliable connectivity in high-density environments. Performance and Features that Ease Deployment, Optimize Performance and Maximize Security of the Network The EAP1200H, which is housed in a streamlined, unobtrusive, low profile smoke detector form factor, and ECB1200, which is a desktop access point with four detachable 5 dBi high-gain antennas, feature a Gigabit Port and can be powered via PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) from an IEEE (News - Alert) 802.3at rated switch. The access points can be easily deployed an monitored using the EnGenius EZ Controller Software for Windows, MAC OSX and Linux (available as a free download). The EAP1200H and ECB1200 incorporate a robust feature set designed to provide reliable wireless connectivity to mobile devices as well as deliver optimum performance for bandwidth-intensive applications running on them. High transmit power and receive sensitivity provide connectivity over longer ranges, while Band Steering works to relieve network congestion and maintain optimal data traffic flow by automatically detecting dual-band client devices and shifting them to the 5 GHz band from the 2.4 GHz band. The ECB1200 can also function as a client bridge to connect Ethernet-enabled devices such as printers and copiers to the business' existing wireless network. To enhance the security of the network, the EAP1200H and ECB1200 support wireless encryption standards such as Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK) Encryption, IEEE 802.1X with RADIUS, and MAC Address Filtering.
