Bond County Circuit Court Clerks, Sheriff's Office and Greenville Police Deploy digiTICKET®, Illinois' First Approved eCitation Ticket

Saltus Technologies™, provider of the industry-leading digiTICKET® eCitation solution, announced today that Bond County, Illinois, has deployed digiTICKET on existing mobile computers at the Bond County Sheriff's Office and the Greenville Police Department. Saltus deployed the fully configured solution to both agencies after being the first electronic citation vendor to be approved by the Chief Conference of Circuit Judges. The fully deployed solution includes interfaces to the Circuit Court case management system, the law enforcement agency records management system and the State of Illinois.

digiTICKET enables officers to quickly issue tickets, thereby reducing the time spent in harm's way during traffic stops. The solution also makes it easy to share critical data with other agencies. In this deployment, Saltus has added the benefit of electronically capturing and transferring the Illinois Traffic Stop Data Sheet to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Automating this process ensures that important information, such as violator profile and other details are correctly recorded and submitted. digiTICKET will also free time previously spent on repetitive paperwork and data entry by providing an electronic data export that can be automatically uploaded to the Department of Transportation database.

The deployment included integrating dgiTICKET with the Bond County Circuit Court existing court case management system from Goodin Associates. Goodin focuses on serving the Illinois justice system and is currently used by 80 of the state's 102 county courts.

"digiTICKET greatly increases the speed and efficiency of the Circuit Clerk's office," stated Rex Catron, Bond County Circuit Court Clerk. "It accelerates or eliminates multiple steps in our current methods and significantly cuts the time it takes to process citations. We're impressed by how much easier it is to complete our tasks, including revenue collection in a timelier manner, such as reducing the time between issuing a ticket and when it can be paid online. In the near future, it will also reduce the amount of paper the court must retain. In all, digiTICKET has been an absolute wonder to use."

Bond County acquired the system to run on existing computers and also includes Brother mobile printers and Motorola (News - Alert) handheld scanners for capturing driver's license data.

digiTICKET currently has more than 3,500 end users in 15 U.S. states, generating over 50,000 eCitations monthly. It has proven to be a key contributing factor in decreasing traffic accidents by more than 10 percent while increasing revenue by reducing errors, improving productivity, and eliminating manual processes.
