Hitachi ID Launches Next Generation of Privileged Access Management

Hitachi ID Privileged Access Manager 9.0 introduces the ability to check out multiple accounts at once and apps for Android and iOS

CALGARY, April 22, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Hitachi ID Systems is pleased to announce the release of Privileged Access Management 9.0 (HiPAM 9.0).  The new release introduces the ability to check out multiple accounts at once and run commands across multiple systems.  HiPAM 9.0 also introduces Hitachi ID Mobile Access for Android and iOS, to expedite approvals for one-time access and to disclose passwords when required.

"When a privileged access management system is deployed, IT users relinquish their administrative passwords.  IT users are compensated for this with improved efficiency," says Idan Shoham, Hitachi ID CTO. "HiPAM 9.0 offers two owerful new tools: First, a user can check out many accounts on many systems at once and run commands across these systems.  Second, Hitachi ID Mobile Access supports rapid approval of one-time access from anywhere, any time."

Hitachi ID Mobile Access allows users to interact with HiPAM from their devices, even when not attached to the corporate network.  Communication between the user's device and on-premise HiPAM system is facilitated by a cloud-hosted proxy service.  To ensure security, devices must be activated via a scanned QR code.  Users can request, approve and disclose access using the app on iOS or Android.

Hitachi ID will host a webinar to review new capabilities in HiPAM 9.0.  To register, please visit:
