Bet on Bernie Contribution Pledge Campaign Enters Cyberspace for Bernie Sanders Supporters

NEW YORK, NY, April 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ - Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016 announced yesterday the launch of Bet on Bernie Dot Com social media campaign for contribution pledges to support the likes of a presidential bid from Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, a Brooklyn native, son of Jewish migrants, who was active in the Civil Rights Movement while attending University of Chicago, is the former Chairman of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee, and has sat as a member of U.S.Congress since 1991.

Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016 chief director Cary Peterson told Bloomberg Politics in March that the committee was 'receiving contribution pledges' and after announcing that Betonbernie.com was now active yesterday, Peterson went further to comment, "I think social media plays a big role with our pursuit and will enable us to meet our immediate goal for contribution pledges to foot the bill for our campaign and marketing partners, who are at the table."

In the past week Mr. Sanders' recent brushes with the media have been primarily based on questions about his thoughts on 2016 Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, as he told CNN yesterday for the former Secretary of State Clinton 'to be clear' while at a protest just outside the U.S. Trade Representative's Office near the White House. The obvious Hillary Clinton questions are followed by the inquiry of when he expects to announce his decision to run for president in 2016, which in response, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt) tells Fox News Sunday a few days ago "I would not run unless I knew I could win."

Ready for Bernie Sanders 2016, a hybrid PAC established in February this year currently has a social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus, additionally working with a handful of cultural, veteran, and non-partisan organizations that support presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders' future announcement on running for president in 2016.
