Merrill Corporation Names Alan Scott Chief Marketing Officer


Merrill Corporation (www.merrillcorp.com), a global leader in secure content sharing, disclosure, and regulated communications, has named Alan Scott as Chief Marketing Officer.

Scott joins Merrill from Wolters Kluwer Law (News - Alert) & Business, a market-leading global information services company based in New York, New York, where he served as Chief Marketing Officer. During his tenure, he redefined the organization's brand positioning, value proposition and advertising platforms with a customer-focused framework.

Prior to Wolters Kluwer, Scott served as senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Dow Jones & Company's Enterprise Media Group. He also served as chief marketing officer for Factiva, and held marketing leadership positions at Forrester (News - Alert) Research/ GIGA Information Group, Spencer Trask & Co. and the Gartner Group earlier in his career.

In his new role with Merrill Corporation, Scott, who will work from Merrill Corporation's midtown office in New Yok City, will leverage his experience in enhancing Merrill's marketing strategy, brand identity and trusted reputation. He will report to Merrill's Chief Executive Officer, Rusty Wiley.

Scott is a widely published writer and speaker. He has written and spoken about topics such as marketing communications, social media and corporate reputation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in East Asian Studies from Wittenberg University, located in Springfield, Mo.
