Ellucian Appoints Diana Oblinger to Board of Directors

Ellucian, the leading global provider for higher education software and services, today announced that EDUCAUSE president and chief executive officer, Dr. Diana G. Oblinger, will join the company's board of directors on June 1, 2015 upon her retirement.

Dr. Oblinger is well known for her focus on improving learning through the use of technology. She has worked with colleges and universities in the US and around the world on issues such as student success. In her role at EDUCAUSE, an organization with 2,400 institutional and corporate members, she led the creation of programs such as the EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) and the Next Generation Learning Challenges (NGLC), which provides grants and change strategies for transformational technology-mediated programs in post-secondary and secondary institutions.

Dr. Oblinger has both academic and corporate experience She has served on a variety of boards, including the American Council on Education (ACE) and ACT, as well as committee service such as with the National Science Foundation's (NSF) Committee on Cyberinfrastructure. She is a frequent keynote speaker and writer. Most recently she served as a Distinguished Visiting Fellow in Learning Technologies at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
