CES on the Hill Brings Top Technology Trends to Nation's Capital

Produced by the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)®, CES on the Hill returns to the nation's capital on Wednesday, April 15 to showcase top technology trends to Members of Congress, key Hill staff and top media. CES (News - Alert) on the Hill links the latest innovations in consumer technology with current major tech policy issues, emphasizing the need for public policies that promote innovation that will lead to job creation and economic growth. This year's event will highlight innovations in 3D printing, 4K Ultra HD, accessibility, drones, health and fitness tracking, safe driving technology, smart home, virtual reality and more.


CES on the Hill exhibitors showcasing their latest products and technologies include:

  • Canon USA Inc. - Showcasing their latest line of digital cameras and camcorders, including the PowerShot G7 X, VIXIA mini X, Powershot SX600 HS, PowerShot ELPH 150 IS and various battery packs.
  • DISH - DISH will showcase the Hopper DVR, which will add 4K Ultra HD capability later this summer, and Sling TV, delivering the best of live TV to broadband-connected devices at home and on-the-go.
  • Dolby Laboratories - The Dolby Audio System provides enhanced accessibility features with support for descriptive video services, high-quality multiple language delivery, and dialogue enhancement.
  • Google - Google's (News - Alert) Cultural Institute brings together millions of artifacts from multiple partners, with the stories that bring them to life, in a virtual museum.
  • HTC - HTC will showcase their critically acclaimed mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets powered by the Android and Windows operating systems.
  • Humetrix - Tensio™ is the first in a suite of chronic condition coaching apps, which gives consumers more control of their healthcare.
  • Laminar Research - Laminar Research will showcase their popular flight simulator, X-Plane, as well as Xavion, an app for Apple's iPad and iPhone that can GUIDE an airplane down to a safe landing after engine failure.
  • LG - Two of LG's most talked about products from the 2015 International CES® are coming to CES on the Hill - the award-winning 65-inch class 65EG9600 "Art Slim Curved 4K OLED TV" and the LG G Flex2 Smartphone. Learn more in this video.
  • Microsoft - Showcasing Microsoft (News - Alert) Band, the first device powered by Microsoft Health that tracks heart rate, steps, calorie burn, and sleep quality; Xbox One with Kinect, and the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet.
  • Nutritionix - Washington, D.C.-based software company Nutritionix provides a technology platform to help restaurant chains and food manufacturers comply with federal nutrition publishing requirements.
  • Panasonic - Panasonic (News - Alert) will showcase their smart rearview mirror, solar roof panels, home monitoring system, 4K-UHD personal and professional ecosystem and energy storage battery solutions.
  • Pandora - Pandora (News - Alert) gives users effortless, personalized experiences anytime, anywhere through more than 1,000 Pandora-friendly consumer electronic devices and 50 unique algorithms instantaneously suggesting the perfect next song.
  • Pinshape - Pinshape is the next generation 3D printing community marketplace that enables talented designers to sell and share their 3D designs and helps makers to download and effortlessly print designs themselves. Learn more in this video.
  • Qualcomm - Qualcomm will showcase cutting edge wireless technology enabled by Qualcomm chipsets and modems, including the Bigbelly, Telog and Itron.
  • Samsung - Showcasing the Samsung SUHD TV 65", Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Tab S, Series 9 Notebook, Gear Virtual Reality, Galaxy S5 and Galaxy S6.
  • senseFly - senseFly will showcase their eBee and eXom commercial UAVs, safe, ultra-light and easy to use aerial imaging drones for professional applications.
  • Snapchat - Snapchat is a top-ranked mobile app for Android and iOS, known as a fast, fun, ephemeral storytelling platform.
  • Withings - Withings will showcase their range of products that empower people to track their lifestyle and improve their everyday wellbeing, including the Withings Pulse, the Smart Body Analyzer, the Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor and Withings Aura. Learn more in this video.
  • Yelp - By employing an automated software program, Yelp is able to recommend the most useful and reliable reviews for the Yelp community, helping millions connect with great local businesses around the world.

In addition, CEA is partnering with 1776 - A Washington, D.C. based global incubator and seed fund that finds promising startups focused on solving the world's most fundamental challenges and helps engineer their success. 1776's exhibit will feature ParkedIn, a sharing economy booking platform and on demand mobile solution for parking management, and LEAF College Savings, the only neutral platform enabling employers to provide payroll deductions into every 529 college savings plan in the country as an employee benefit.

Returning for its third year, a dedicated showcase area for startups, including exhibitors from the Eureka Park Marketplace at the 2015 International CES®, the world's leading innovation event, will be located within the 2015 CES on the Hill show floor. Eureka Park features the breadth and depth of budding entrepreneurs and home-grown innovation from fledgling prototypes to progressing startups spanning the entire consumer technology spectrum.

In conjunction with CES on the Hill, the 11th annual Digital Patriots Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 14 and will honor U.S. Congressman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) and Revolution Chairman and CEO Steve Case for their roles in championing technology innovation and supporting a legal and regulatory framework that allows innovation to flourish. CEA will also be unveiling the Innovation Scorecard results, a first-of-its-kind report evaluating states' innovation-friendly policies, and presenting awards to Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe and other leaders for championing innovation.
