Interxion Launches Digital Media Whitepapers at NAB 2015
Interxion (News - Alert) (NYSE: INXN):
What:
Next week at the NAB
Show 2015, INTERXION
HOLDING NV (NYSE: INXN), a leading European provider of cloud
and carrier-neutral data center services, will introduce two
companion whitepapers to help media companies capitalize on the
shifting digital video and TV landscape. The reports are based on
qualitative research that Interxion and FirstPartner
conducted in the U.S. and Europe to explore the commercial and
technical challenges facing digital media companies today.
- "The Role of Cloud in Content Production and Delivery," explores
the adoption of cloud in multiscreen video and TV delivery, and
the factors to consider in order to strike the right balance
between public cloud, private cloud and dedicated infrastructure.
- "The Challenges of IP TV and Video Delivery," analyzes in detail
the rise of multiscreen viewing and TV Everywhere, and the
strategies companies are adopting to meet consumer demand.
Why:
The digital video and TV world is quickly evolving. Massive growth
in IP-delivered and over-the-top (OTT) video, the rise of
multiscreen viewing and TV Everywhere, the availability of consumer
devices and changes in consumption behavior will dictate the future
media landscape. To take advantage of the opportunities offered by
such massive changes and deal with the challenges they present,
content owners, producers and broadcasters, and the service
providers who support them are looking at new ways to create, store,
manage and distribute TV and digital video content.
These methods include adopting end-to-end IP workflows and cloud and
software-based services to stay relevant. However, determining how
fast and how far to move into the cloud is a complex endeavor, and
media companies must consider costs, content, security and
interoperability challenges when architecting their cloud or hybrid
IT approach.

Bryan
Hill, Director of Marketing and Business Development, Digital
Media, Interxion, will be onsite at the NAB Show 2015 to introduce
and discuss the whitepapers. Media companies, especially content
