Dropbox Partners With SoftBank Commerce and Service to Bring Powerful Collaboration Solutions to Japanese Businesses


Dropbox today announced a partnership with SoftBank Commerce and Service (C&S) Corporation. The partnership is expected to bring Dropbox for Business to one million business users in Japan over the next five years. SoftBank C&S - Japan's largest information and communications technology distributor - will be a primary reseller and distributor of Dropbox (News - Alert) for Business in Japan.

Dropbox will also be teaming up with 13 leading Japanese service providers, including I-O Data Device, Inc, i³ Systems, Inc., Alps System Integration Co., Ltd., Inventit Inc., Intercom, Inc., International Systems Research Co., WingArc1st Inc., a2media corporation, Cybernet Systems Co., Ltd., Cybozu, Inc., JMA Systems Corp., MEDIAEDGE Corporation, and recomot Inc. to further expand Dropbox's global ecosystem of more than 300,000 applications. Using the Dropbox for Business API, these integrations will allow businesses to extend the functionality of Dropbox for Business to meet additional security and compliance needs.
