New West Technologies Hires Joseph Pettiford as New HR Director to Lead Employee Recruitment and Retention Efforts as Company Growth Accelerates

New West Technologies ("New West"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cybergy Holdings, Inc. (OTCQB: CYBG), is very pleased to announce that Joseph B. Pettiford has joined their team as the new Director of Human Resources (HR). As HR Director, Joseph will oversee the day-to-day operations of all HR matters for New West, while leading efforts to enhance employee recruitment and retention during a period of accelerated growth thanks to recent wins by the company of large federal contracts including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

Joseph brings an accomplished and compelling professional and academic history with proven results that includes over 20 years of HR experience for local and federal government agencies, national nonprofits, and Department of Defense (DoD) 8(a) contractors, as well as teaching experience as an adjunct professor of HR, business, and labor relations. He also holds advanced degrees in business and HR management and various professional certifications.

"The addition of Joseph Pettiford to our team is a significant milestone for us," said New West President Steve Hauser. "We are clearly positioned to recruit key staff positions as our business grows and create a culture for our staff that fosters success."

Among the efforts Joseph will lead are changes to new employee orientation, enhancements to career pathways for existing employees, and a new employee performance-based awards program. These are three areas where both Ne West and Cybergy senior management are focusing particular efforts during the strong growth expected this year.

"Joseph Pettiford brings a positive, forward-looking approach to how we want to value our employees, which after all are our greatest asset," said Mark Gray, Chairman and CEO of Cybergy Partners, itself a subsidiary of Cybergy Holdings, Inc. "This is an exciting time for our family of companies."

Joseph's role is critical as New West is expected to significantly ramp up hiring of new employees thanks to a flurry of new business activity. Earlier this month, New West and a teaming partner started work on a three-year, $85 million Mission Oriented Technical Support (MOTS) contract with DOE's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), and in a separate development last week, New West was named as one of the prime contractors on a multiple award IDIQ contract for HHS worth up to $500 million over 10 years. Additional activity is expected in the core mission areas of the company of clean energy and cybersecurity.

For his part, Joseph is looking forward to his new position. "I enjoy the challenge of bringing people on board and giving them an opportunity to grow and develop. I'm a strong believer in servant leadership and it continues to pay dividends in the lives of employees," he said. "By valuing everyone's contributions and regularly seeking out opinions, one can cultivate a culture of trust and develop others as leaders."
