Lookout Brings on CMO, VP of Platform Products to Further Strengthen Executive Team

SAN FRANCISCO, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lookout, the global leader in mobile security, today welcomed a new Chief Marketing Officer and a Vice President of Platform Products, both reporting directly to Lookout CEO, Jim Dolce. Deb Wolf, who joins Lookout from Workday, will oversee marketing to Lookout's consumer and enterprise customers and prospects globally. Santosh Krishnan, who was most recently at Akamai, fills the newly created position of Vice President of Platform Products, and is responsible for the ongoing development and advancement of the Lookout Security Platform. As Lookout builds on its successful consumer business and extends its predictive security capabilities to large enterprises, today's hires ensure the company has the leadership required to excel in both markets.

"Demand for cybersecurity solutions has created a sizable opportunity across both our consumer and enterprise markets. To seize upon it, we must accelerate our ability to deliver innovative products and develop successful relationships with our customers," said Jim Dolce, Lookout CEO. "Santosh and Deb bring new ideas and perspectives that will be crucial to achieving these goals as the company enters its next phase of growth."

As CMO, Wolf will oversee all aspects of Lookout's global marketing organization, and is responsible for building awareness, communicating Lookout's value and driving customer demand across all lines of business. She brings more than 25 years of marketing experience, most recently serving as Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Workday, a leading provider of enterprise cloud applications for finance and human resource. While there, she oversaw integrated go-to-market campaigns, demand generation, fied marketing, event marketing, creative services and web marketing. Having joined Workday prior to its launch in 2006, Wolf was instrumental to the company's impressive growth and success, including its 2012 IPO.

"Lookout saw very early that the inflection point in mobile adoption was coming among both consumers and enterprises and a complete security reset would be needed in a mobile world," said Wolf. "Fast forward to today with billions of devices changing the way we live and work, there's never been a more important time to bring the very best technology and minds together to solve this worldwide mobile security issue. I'm inspired to join a brilliant team with this massive opportunity ahead to better protect people and organizations in a hyper-connected world."

In the newly created role of VP of Platform Products, Krishnan's responsibilities lie in advancing Lookout's already robust predictive threat detection capabilities, ensuring scalability to hundreds of millions of users, and extending Lookout solutions to users of all types across a range of markets. He joins Lookout from Akamai Technologies, a leading provider of cloud services, where he served most recently as Head of Ventures. Earlier, he was Head of Product Management responsible for the company's licensed CDN product line marketed to network operators. He holds a Ph.D. with distinction from Columbia University and a B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology, both in Computer Science.

"Protecting more than 60 million users each day is not a trivial task," said Krishnan. "Mobile attacks are getting more sophisticated every day, and I'm looking forward to continuing to build on Lookout's proven platform and keep the technology ahead of evolving and unknown threats."

Today's news follows the appointment of other executives focused on the company's enterprise business, as well as the closing of $150 million in financing, aimed primarily at extending Lookout's predictive security platform to large enterprises.
